Placentia Painting Project

Our Why

Folks around town recommended painting Laguna or L.A. to be more profitable, but my heart is in Placentia.  I wanted to share my heart and how I see Placentia & North County with others.   To paint 32 pieces in and around Placentia to Create a better Picture of Placentia.  Around that time our city was struggling with misappropriations, embezzlement and a series of quick fix solutions. I was tired of Googling Placentia and seeing the pictures populate of a polluted financially poisoned place.   Placentia is a Pleasant Place Rich in History & Heritage!       Prints Here

Okay, but how does this project support the community?

There are a few ways this project is Cultivating Growth here in town.  First, every conversation is helping to educate and connect neighbors who care.  Second, the visuals are meant to connect and ground us in our heritage as we envision the Placentia of tomorrow.  These paintings are done on location, at times utilizing historic reference with a bit of vision casting through illustration.  Thirdly, these paintings will be turned into a community calendar for purchase and to support the charitable work around town Cultivating Growth does.   

Getting involved

The main way to gage the success of this project is how much community involvement is created through this project.  All of the challenges we face in this city can be better handled through connected relationships that bring unique perspective & support.   There is a place for you here at Cultivating Growth, we are looking for non-profit board members and folks to participate with the Placentia Collaborative.  You fit in these groups, because you are a community member who cares.  We are going to tackle the problems that don't quite get addressed because they don't fit the parameters of a municipality or organization.  Cultivating Growth has always existed to promote the community around positive growth.

 Would you like to participate with our community calendars?  

Please submit an image of your original art work through email jpg format no larger than 750k and 3 samples at a time (Currently only accepting submissions for North Orange County paintings & illustration, digital artwork is allowed must have proof of originality, No AI/No Exceptions). Acceptable forms of proof, video of creation, Procreate time-lapse mp4, participate with in-person Art Crawl event.
